Creative Building Fine Motor Group

Creative Building Fine Motor Group

Children will participate in activities to address fine motor skills, visual motor skills, visual perceptual skills, and body awareness.  The program will encourage creativity while working on important school requirements, including scissor skills and coloring skills.  Group activities will also address building muscular strength and coordination in the hands to improve participation in activities of daily living (ADL), such as buttoning, zippering, and shoe tying.

  • Improve fine motor strength/coordination skills for school and home-based activities
  • Improve visual perceptual and visual motor skills for fine motor ADL participation
  • Improve body awareness and sensory processing skills to facilitate appropriate grading of pressure and tool use
